KERALA FLOOD RELIEF REPORT 2018
We are Matoshree Sevadham Arogya Seva Trust (MAST)
On 16th Auguts 2018, severe floods affected the south Indian state of Kerala, due to unusually high rainfall during the monsoon season. It was the worst flood in Kerala in nearly a century. Over 483 people died and 14 were missing. About a million people were evacuated mainly from Chengannur, Pandanad, Ednad, Aranmula and many other provinces. All 14 districts of the state were placed on red alert. According to the Kerela government, one-sixth of the total population of Kerela had been directly affected by floods and related incidents. The Indian government had declared it a Level 3 Calamity, or calamity of a severe nature. It is the worst flood in Kerela.
We at MAST India, mobilized our team and we were able to be a part of flood relief measures for the people of Kerala. Various flood relief materials such as potable water, blankets, packed food, rice, water-purifying machines, daily-in use and healthcare products were made available to the people of Kerala.
Kozhencherry / Pathanamthitta District
Kozhencherry is a census town in Pathanamthitta district of Central Travancore region in Kerala state. Kozhencherry Town Located on the banks of Pampa river and whole town to damage due to flood water of Pumpa River. People are homeless, there is no food and medical facilities available in village even Kozhencherry Muthoot Hospital has been badly affected by the floods and is inundated with water.

Team Matoshree decided to provide required essentials and medical facilities and other help We provide material to Kerala relief
Our Team of 4 Doctors and 15 volunteers visit the town at 25th August 2018 to 3rd September 2018 and distribute all essentials and Medicine and our team conduct medical health check-up for flood victims.
We are continuing our flood relief operations in Kozhencherry, Pathanamthitta District.
Now just over the month on this districts are slowly but surely limping back to normality and rebuilding their lives and your contribution continue to support the flood relief work.
