Executive Summary:

Matoshree Aarogya Sevadham Trust initiated its activities since 2002, the main goal of our trust is to train the learners and give them proper guidance which would help them in their life. We have tried to spread our services in many urban and rural areas and we are trying our level best to train the learners, which would be helpful for gaining employment. Despite of an array of challenges faced initially, we, as a team have been able to get a breakthroughin providing our services in the most remotest parts and in gauging good response from our beneficiaries.

With a heartfelt gratitude towards our donors, we are forging ahead with lot of enthusiasm, which has resulted in gaining trust from our beneficiariesas the numbers of students are increasing with each day.

Program Objective:

• - To train the learners and giving them proper career guidance.
• - To improve their communication skills and help them to build proper personality.
• - To provide better guidance for youths who are trying to build a career through our training.
• - Guiding the learners systematically and build confidence in them.

Project Location:

The centre is located in one of the largest disadvantaged and deprived area of the city. There are at least 60000 families which need a sustainable model for to ensure a dignified and socioeconomically elevated standard of living. Our targeted beneficiaries for this project is the youth of this deprived section of the society who will be able to become independent economically

Project Target Group:

40 under privileged youths have enrolled for the course. Most of the beneficiaries belong to below poverty line and their maximum qualification is F.Y, S.Y - B.A, B.Com and minimum qualification is S.S.C. All of them would like to acquire jobs after completing the course and support their families and education. Beneficiary’s detail list is attached. Our class strength is 40 with an age group from 18- 28 years

Execution of the Program

• 1. Collaborated with Smiles Foundation for the initiation of this project.
• 2. Surveyed in Wagholi Area of Pune City and as the outcome of the survey, we were able locate new parts of the area where the above mentioned could be implemented.
• 3. With the help of few local leaders of SHG Group, some influential figures of the area and some volunteers, we were able to hold meetings for making them aware of the kind of work we are targeting for the area. The response that we got was overwhelming and over 150 people participated in the meeting.
• 4. Initiation of youth/ volunteer mobilization – By conducting various activities like distribution of pamphlets, street plays, PR, etc, our team was able to cover over 600 youth of the area.
• 5. Enrolment – Orientation program was organised to share about Smiles Twin e-learning Project (STeP): An Initiation of Step Foundation. Currently, we have been working in 3 areas of Ashok Nagar, Sahar Village and Lelewadi in Vile Parle (East) through the process of mobilization. More than 40 beneficiaries have been mobilized in the current batch. Their enrolment included orientation, interview and written test.
